Seattle Design Center always offers something special for its Third Thursday series of design events and lectures and this month is no different. A roster of events covering everything from pop culture's influence on design to lessons in custom cabinetry, are set to take place in showrooms throughout the center.

Introducing New Baker Designer Loyalty Programs
Baker, Knapp & Tubbs
9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
Here you'll get an introduction to two new Baker Designer Loyalty programs -- Designer Connection and Designer Dividends. The programs were designed to promote the importance of professional interior designers, connect consumers with trade professionals, and reward the company's loyal design partners.

How Pop Culture and Fashion Have Influenced Passementerie for Today's Interiors
Kelly Forslund
10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
In this session, Sasha Gallace, artist, trim designer and national sales representative for Samuel and Sons, addresses the question: What does it take to stay true to timeless style, while still being open to fresh influences? The presentation will address the interplay of fashion and interior design over time and place.

Fall Rug Design Preview

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Lark Textile Designs is set to unveil its new handwoven rug designs, styles that utilize a painterly approach to composition and color. The fresh batch of patterns were designed to suit both traditional and contemporary motifs.

A team of showroom owners and managers have been assembled to highlight the range of more moderately priced products currently available in SDC's showrooms.

Cabinetry for the Home | More Than Kitchen and Bath
William & Wayne
2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
William & Wayne is SDC's only kitchen and bath cabinetry showroom and this session was designed to help you customize cabinetry for all areas of the home. The showroom works with local cabinet companies and artisans to create pieces that suit your specific needs and encourages you to bring your concepts and napkin sketches for discussion and recommendations.
