Brave New York's wintery weather and head to the city for the Winter Home Textiles Market Week happening simultaneously in four venues around town in January. Participating hosts and venues are the New York International Gift Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94, 230 Fifth Avenue, and 7 W New York.
In total, about 600 vendors will pack the halls and showrooms of the different locations with return exhibitors and many newcomers as well. At 7W, new textiles tenants include BBJ Table Fashions (table linens); Hellenic Rugs (area rugs); and Louis Hornick & Co. (pillows, bedding and window treatments). And throughout the market, companies are expanding their presence, among them are bedding companies Christian Mosso Group, Coyuchi, Scandia Home, and Stamattina.
The week also is packed with educational seminars, special events and promotions at each location. Among them is Color Pulse 2014: From Theory to Selection, on Monday, Jan. 28 at the Javits Center. The session will be presented by the New York Chapter of the International Furnishings & Design Association. A complete schedule of events is available online.
