Porcelanosa has issued an open call to interior designers and architects in the U.S. for this year's Architecture & Interior Design Awards. The company created the competition in 2006 to acknowledge and encourage new and future professionals within the industry, and to herald work that displays originality incorporating Porcelanosa's products in new projects.
The guidelines for architects and designers is that projects must use only Porcelanosa materials. Applicants are invited to either create the layout and design of a fictional restaurant or submit a real project completed between January 2011 and February 2013. The projects are to be judged based on originality, functionality and creativity.
Winners of the U.S. preliminary competition will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Spain where they will compete with other international finalists in Madrid on May 30.
Deadline to submit projects is April 1. Visit the Porcelanosa site for more details.
