Designer Suzan Fellman has put her passion for the decorative arts and luxurious creativity to work in the SF Collection, a line that pairs art with design, whimsy with exuberant glamour.

Fellman’s designs break rules by combining materials and themes in unexpected ways. She breathes new life into items such as vintage scarves and strings of pearls, giving them new purpose and functioning, in a sense, as a couture recyclist.

Product Description

For those who want their one-of-a-kind items to stand out even among other one-of-a-kind items, the Reserved Seating Slipper Chair from the SF Collection is a dream come true. Upholstered with perfect combinations of vintage designer scarves, the chairs would be just as much at home on a pedestal in a museum as they will be in a cleverly-appointed home.

Fellman infuses the chairs with playfulness by placing them atop tapered Lucite legs. The clear base gives the glamorous chairs the appearance of floating on air. Further establishing the chairs as pieces of art, one leg is engraved with Fellman’s signature.

Fellman is currently at work on a new twist on the chair that will feature corkscrew wooden legs.

The SF Collection

The SF Collection is a retelling of a more glamorous age and a repurposing of vintage, luxury materials. Products in the line marry past with present, resulting in creations that are both refined and dreamlike -- one part My Fair Lady, one part Alice in Wonderland. The collection includes furniture, lighting, home décor, and, yes, dog collars made of vintage scarves as well.
