The New York International Gift Fair will be reborn as NY Now, The Market for Home & Lifestyle at the summer 2013 show. The updated version doesn’t completely reinvent the show attendees have headed to in droves for years but instead enhances the aspects that have proven most popular and offers a few new features as well.
The new version of the fair will be divided into four collections: Home, Lifestyle, Handmade and New!. In total, an estimated 100,000 products in 40-plus product categories will be represented throughout the varied sections.
One thing the show has worked to build upon in recent years is its focus on the designer -- both designers who come to shop the show and those who use it as an opportunity to showcase their own creations. The fair’s new format honors that tradition with a series of designer-focused sections that aim to provide maximum access to designers at all levels of their careers and to make it a little more affordable for those who are just starting out.
As much of these particular areas is juried, it’s necessary if you’re interested in being included here to apply to the section best suited to your company's needs and for those designers, artists and manufacturers interested in being a part of the juried design sections at the summer 2013 edition of NY Now, the application period has begun. Applications are now being accepted for three juried, design sections as well as two special design incubator showcases.
Please note, deadlines vary depending on section. Links to each individual section’s application are included at the end of each listing.
